Artist statement

"In my artwork I use found imagery, objects and text, along with a combination of other media to explore the themes of memory, innocence and loss... often creating unexpected assemblages, which invite viewers to ​create ​their own narratives."

My themes

My creative focus is on exploring my emotional landscape through memories of childhood, relationships and the important places in my life.  I use a variety of mixed media... from abstract painting to collage... incorporating found objects, old photographs and memorabilia. More recently I have been using the ancient art of encaustic wax to add luminosity and depth to my images.

I divide my time between London and the Suffolk coast where much of my inspiration lies. I also practice as an art psychotherapist in adult mental health in North London.
